Empowered Birth, Nurturing Support

For Every Body, Every Journey

What is a birth doula?

A birth doula is a supportive, trained, non-medical professional who offers continuous physical, emotional, and informational care before, during, and shortly after childbirth. My role is to help you feel confident, cared for, and well-informed throughout your pregnancy and birth journey.

What will I bring to your experience as your birth doula?

  • Prenatal visits to get to know you, your birth preferences, and your support needs

  • Help creating a birth preferences list or exploring birth options

  • Emotional support and reassurance during pregnancy

  • Resources and referrals (to childbirth classes, lactation consultants, mental health providers, etc.)

  • A variety of birth prep strategies such as body mechanics, nutrition, mindfulness exercises, etc.

  • On-call availability for the duration of our contract

Before Birth (Prenatal Support):

  • Continuous presence and support (from early labor through birth) either in your home or in the hospital, based on your readiness

  • Comfort measures such as massage, breathing techniques, positioning suggestions, and relaxation tools

  • Support for your partner or other loved ones, helping them feel confident and involved

  • Encouragement and reassurance throughout the process

  • Advocacy support, helping you communicate with your medical team and stick to your preferences (while not speaking for you)

During Labor and Birth:

  • Immediate postpartum support (help with initial bonding, feeding, and recovery right after birth)

  • Follow-up visit(s) to talk about the birth, answer questions, and support the transition into parenthood

  • Referrals to additional resources if needed (like lactation support or postpartum care)

After Birth (Postpartum Support):

A doula enters the birth space quietly, holding the fierce, sacred ground where a new soul enters the world — protecting, affirming, witnessing.

Who I serve…

The role of a doula is to help you feel informed, empowered, and supported—regardless of who you are, who your partner is (or if you have one), whether you live with a disability, where you're from, or the color of your skin.

I believe birth is sacred — not in a religious sense, but in the power, intimacy, and the connection it creates between body, mind, and spirit. Over time, systems of care have distanced us from that experience, leading many to feel disempowered or unseen. My goal is to ensure that your birth experience leaves you feeling joyful, heard, and transformed in the best ways.

… All people

I’m honored to support all birthing people — whether you have abundant resources and supports or are navigating birth from a place of marginalization. Everyone deserves compassionate, respectful care, and I’m committed to showing up with dignity, empathy, and support for every body and every journey.

I welcome and affirm all gender identities, sexual orientations, and family structures. My practice is grounded in inclusive language, trauma-informed care, and a deep respect for the diverse ways families are created and experienced. Whether you are cis, trans, nonbinary, queer, or any beautiful combination of identities — you belong here.

I have a lot of experience working with immigrant and refugee families. As a doula, I am honored to work with families from all cultural backgrounds, including immigrant and refugee families. I understand that navigating birth and healthcare systems in a new country and language can be overwhelming, and I aim to offer support that is respectful, compassionate, and culturally aware. I am happy to work with interpreters or multilingual partners and make every effort to accommodate language needs whenever possible.

I support all birthing people, no matter your body shape, size, or BMI. Your body is worthy of care, respect, and support—just as it is.

Birth has no age limit on strength or worth. I am honored to support people of all ages on their journey to parenthood.

I specialize in supporting families who have experienced pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or the death of a baby or child. My role is to walk alongside you with presence, care, and deep respect for your grief, offering support that is emotionally attuned, trauma-informed, and grounded in love.
